I’ve loved photography ever since I was a child and I’d watch intrigued as my dad measured the light while he used his lovely old Yashica camera and meter. I quickly got my own camera – one of the free brightly coloured snappy snaps cameras you received when you put a film in to be developed! I took it with me to the top of Dunstable Downs to fly my kite and take photos.
Since then my photography has taken a professional turn and I’ve done a wide variety of shoots, from fun family photography out in the countryside to fashion designers at work in their studios. My work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy and I have regularly contributed to the following publications – Vantage, The Belgravia Residents’ Journal & The Kensington & Chelsea Magazine.
My photography is reportage in style. I tell the story of the moment with my images, capturing what’s unfolding as it’s happening. I love light, bright, natural images that show your family in the most beautiful and unique way possible. I only use natural light, and not a flash, helping my images to have a lovely soft, light feel allowing me to work as unobtrusively as possible.
When I’m not behind a lens I can be found looking after my cheeky son, practising yoga or with my family walking in the fields and woods near my home.
I am based in Hertfordshire and most of my work is within Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London but I am very happy to travel further afield.
